1. What are the different payment methods?
One of the great things about shopping on ZALORA is that we offer you a diverse selection of payment options!
Cash on Delivery
Cash on Delivery (COD) is an exclusive service we provide to our customers for certain postal codes. It's a risk-free payment method where you only pay upon receiving your goods.
Pro-tip: choosing COD also allows your order to be processed faster since we won't be needing to do any bank or credit card checks.
Please note that you need to pay the COD amount to our delivery partner before opening your parcel and trying on your items. This is for security and anonymity purposes. If you don't like the products or the size doesn't fit you, you can always return the items afterward.
Note: to know if COD is eligible in your address, once you choose the mode of payment on the checkout page, a prompt will pop up
E-Gift Card or Wallet Credit
Wallet Credit is a feature on ZALORA that allows you to accumulate store credits that can be used to pay for your ZALORA purchases. Your Wallet Credit balance will be shown under "My Wallet" in the My Account tab once you're logged in.
Here, you can also track your transaction history and credit validity period, and key in any wallet credit code you've received.
Our system will grant you up to 3 years from the date of the disbursement of your Wallet Credit to use them up. If you forget to use them before the expiration date, feel free to contact our Customer Service so we can reactivate them for you.
Wallet Credit is issued in the following scenarios:
- You chose Wallet Credit as your refund method when you returned your items.
- You purchased or received an E-gift card and added the code into your wallet.
- You chose Wallet Credit as your refund method in the event of prepaid order cancellation.
- Any balance of Wallet Credit will automatically be applied to your next purchase at checkout
Note: wallet/store credit can be applied to shipping fee for items SOLD by ZALORA only. However, due to supplies contacts and agreement, it will not apply to third-party seller items' shipping fee
Credit Card / Debit Card
We accept locally and internationally issued Mastercard, VISA, American Express (AMEX) or JCB credit or debit cards for payments and ensure the proper measures to keep your account details safe. If you're a first-time customer paying via credit card, remember that we'll get in touch via call to verify. This is to guard against fraud buyers. G-Cash
GCash is an online mobile wallet solution linked to your mobile number that enables you to purchase items online. This is only available in the Philippines.
How to checkout with GCash:
1. Under 'Payment Options,' select GCash as your mode of payment.
2. You have the option to open the gcash account if your using the same device where your Gcash app is installed or scan a QR code if your using a desktop.
Note: Your Gcash account needs to be verified if you're using an Android and you have the ZALORA APP and GCASH installed on different profiles (Work/Personal profile), otherwise the payment will not push through.
3. If the transaction is successful, you will receive an Order Confirmation email from ZALORA and an email from Dragonpay - GCash. You will also receive an SMS from GCash.
Mastercard Installment
You can now enjoy an installment plan that splits payment into 3 or 6 parts when you pay with your UNIONBANK, HSBC and BPI credit card using installment. Learn more about it here.
2. Why can't I checkout or choose any payment method?
There may cases wherein upon reaching payment selection at checkout, all payment methods are grayed out (if on desktop or app) or not visible (if on mobile web). This could happen if:
1. Your preferred address does not qualify for the delivery of specific items in your bag. Find out more about which products have delivery area restrictions. If you have these products in your cart; you can move them to your wishlist or remove them from your bag and try checking out again.
2. Address is part of non-serviceable areas. If we are unable to service your area, you may update your shipping address to a serviceable area
3. Our 3rd party courier is temporarily unable to deliver items from some sellers. You may remove them from your cart and you can proceed to checkout as usual
3. Why can't I choose Cash on Delivery as my payment method?
Our cash on delivery option may not be available in certain cases such as:
Overseas items amounting to Php10,000 and above - Orders charged with international handling fees are not eligible for COD.
Some specific delivery addressess - The option to pickup your order from our click + connect locations is only available prepaid order.
If all payment methods are disabled, your order may have delivery area restrictions
Some specific product exclusion - some items and high valued products like mobile phones are excluded from COD as requested by the seller or ZALORA suppliers
4. How can I change my payment details
Unfortunately, if you have already placed your order and then decide to change your payment details afterward, you will not be able to do so.
Instead, you can opt to:
- Cancel your order and order again using your preferred payment details. Note that you can only cancel your order if it has not yet been packed.
- Proceed with your current order and just change your payment details for future transactions.
5. Is my payment secure?
At ZALORA, we have several security measures in place to safeguard your data and payment details:
1. Credit Card Information Storage - All credit card information is securely encrypted and stored with our payment gateway Adyen. This provides a second layer of protection for your credit card information.
2. CVV Verification - When you submit your credit card information, including the Card Verification Value (CVV), our job is to encrypt the info and securely transmit to the issuers. Verification and approval is under their sole discretion.
3. PCI Compliance - The ZALORA Website is fully Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI) compliant, and we also have sophisticated fraud tools and experienced fraud specialists screening our daily orders.
If you still have concerns about your credit card security, you can easily remove your credit card details by going to My Account > My Wallet and scrolling down to the bottom of the page. Click on the icon as shown below to turn off the option to store these details in the payment page. You'll just have to manually key in your credit card information during future checkouts.
6. How to Save/Remove your credit/debit card?
Save your card details on your ZALORA account to check out faster and more conveniently! However, if at any point, you would like to remove your card, read on to find out how.
Important: Please note that, for the time being, these options are only available on desktop. However, you can save your card on your ZALORA app on the "select payment mode" page at checkout.
How to Save your card: During Checkout
1. Select "Credit / Debit caard" as your payment method
2. Fill in the required card details and tick the checkbox "Remember details for the next purchase". Please ensure to double check your details
3. Click "Continue to Shipping Options"
Important: Kindly be reminded that once you've added your Credit card / Debit card details, One Time Password (OTP) may not be required for future transactions. Rest assured that your information is kept safe and confidential with our service providers
How to remove your card details
1. Login to your ZALORA account. Upon logging in to your account, hover over the "My Account" symbol and click "My Store Credit"
2. Proceed to remove the card. Scroll down to "Your cards". Then click the trash can icon on your chosen card to remove it.
7. Can I repay my order if the payment did not go through?
There may be times when your payment for an order did not go through if you accidentally dropped off at the point of payment, encountered an error message, or had your payment method declined. In such instances, you will be allowed to reattempt payment for your order
Important:
- You will be able to make a maximum of 2 repayment attempts per order
- You will be able to attempt repayment within a maximum of 4 hours from your first payment attempt.
8. How can I repay for my order?
If you select the ‘back’ button during payment or if the payment fails / declines, you will be automatically redirected to the order summary page. At which point you will see an option to reattempt payment (“Pay Now”).
Alternatively, you can access the order summary page through the following steps:
Go to Account > My Orders > View Order
Note: Orders with incomplete or unsuccessful payment will be shown the status “Payment Pending”
- If the original failed payment was using a payment-specific promotion, you can only repay using the same payment method.
- By opting to ‘Cancel Order’, all item(s) in that order will no longer be reserved and any cashback and/or store credit used in the order will be reimbursed.
- The repayment of your order will not change the original value that you had to pay for and any of the voucher codes/promotional campaigns that have been applied will remain applicable to your order.
